Major Assignment 2 Reflection:

Major Assignment 2 was my first time that i had felt emboldened to try something new in writing. While Major Assignment 1 was a great introduction to college essays i knew that i would have to kick it up a notch in order to further improve myself as a writer. I had once again chosen to do a visual essay as my multi-modal choice so i can focus on improving my writing and not having to switch focus to a new and different mode. As for my topics i had decided to challenge i had chosen two of my favorite hobbies (that are complete opposites) and had to tie them together as well as tie them into prompts in literature. This proved to be a very tough challenge but i did have a lot of fun trying to choose specific diction and sentence structure, while having to tie in my artifacts and a call to action. I focused on finding my voice in my writing and i had tried to bring that out as much as possible with the help of Professor Ramos. Overall I think i did an great job at what i was trying to achieve: find my voice and amplify that in my essay. While there were numerous issues with my essay, i had a perfect opportunity to choose a new goal and improve myself in Major Assignment 3 (That’s for another reflection). While Major Assignment 2 was pretty tough for myself, i believe that finding my personality and using it to write truly unique essays was a vital step into helping me become a more thorough and unique writer.
